POSITION SUMMARY

An Expeditor Certified Lead Trainer is responsible for maintaining company standards by providing comprehensive training at the start of employment and as needed throughout employment.

The Expeditor Certified Lead Trainer is responsible for supporting the restaurant staff by ensuring food is prepared according to established food production and presentation procedures.

The Expeditor will also deliver food and other items to guests in a professional, timely, and friendly manner that achieves Company quality and presentation standards.

Candidates should be organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure, and lead by example.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :

  • Conduct training sessions and seminars with newly hired and promoted team members
  • Working closely with location management and the Director of Training and Hospitality to determine areas for team member improvement
  • Supporting the development of training courses for new and existing team members
  • Tracking team member performance after the completion of training by continually teaching, coaching, quizzing, and validating food & beverage knowledge
  • Personally supporting and always adhering to our Core Values
  • Supporting all restaurant-specific goals based on guest feedback, management focuses, company initiatives, or training requirements
  • Being able to demonstrate the required skills, knowledge, and most importantly the Southern Hospitality that is needed to successfully perform the Certified Lead Trainer job functions
  • Assisting management with team member compliance with standards, steps of service, and policy and procedure adherence
  • Organizing prepared food by check; garnishing or ensuring each item is garnished appropriately and presented as per specification;

cleaning plates prior to delivery; ensuring tables receive all food as ordered

  • Maintain guest orders in an automated QSR ticket system
  • Delivering food and items ordered by guests without delay, at the desired temperature, and in a highly presentable manner and within set time guidelines
  • Working in a team environment with the ability to be an effective team player
  • Act as the liaison between the front-of-house sales team and back-of-house cooks
  • Maintaining complete knowledge of locations food offering and preparation
  • Carrying and transporting trays with beverages and / or plates
  • Clearing the dishes as they are consumed
  • Carefully watching tables and filling water glasses and other drinks as appropriate
  • Providing friendly, gracious, motivated, detail-oriented, and responsive service to create a memorable dining experience for guests
  • Performing cleaning side work as assigned
  • Supporting servers and kitchen staff in other duties as required
  • Take pride in your personal appearance; reporting to work in neat and clean clothing; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by Company policy
  • Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment
  • Performing other duties as directed

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism
  • Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in an oral and written format.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly; ability to pass menu related tests
  • California food handlers card required
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Multi-task oriented

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Nevada - Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application
  • One or more years of full-service restaurant experience
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to workplace safety procedures
  • Must be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Two or more years of full-service restaurant experience

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is standing the entire shift. The team member frequently reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, shakes, stirs, pours, carries and pushes.

The team member is frequently required to walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The team member frequently carries trays up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts and carries tubs and cases weighing up to 75 pounds.

The team member must frequently communicate with guests and coworkers. The team member is occasionally exposed to hazards including, but not limited to cuts from knives, slipping, tripping, falls and burns;

frequent exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, extreme cold; frequent contact / immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood and produce items and frequent washing of hands.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
