Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a committed and client-focused Treatment Specialist 1 to join our Behavioral Health & Reentry Services team. In this role, you’ll support individuals navigating behavioral health challenges and reentry, using assessment tools and evidence-based practices to help them build a path forward.

As part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, you will assess client needs, develop service plans, provide therapeutic group facilitation, and support program outcomes in a structured and compassionate environment.

What You’ll Do :

Conduct risk / needs assessments and create individualized, recovery-oriented service plans

Monitor, document, and report client progress in compliance with agency and funding source guidelines

Facilitate individual case management sessions and evidence-based group programs

Participate in treatment team meetings, court appearances, and house meetings as needed

Support clients in developing discharge plans and connecting to community resources

Complete reports, documentation, and assessments as required

Conduct drug and alcohol screenings and ensure follow-through on program requirements

Coordinate with staff and contribute to a supportive, team-centered treatment environment

What You Need :

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Services or a related field

Completion of Group Facilitation Skills and at least one core curriculum training

One year of agency experience preferred; transferable experience is a plus

Demonstrated competency in core curriculum facilitation

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Basic computer proficiency

Ability to pass a criminal background check

Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency driving standards

Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends

Bilingual fluency is a plus
