Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas is seeking an Undergraduate Junior or Senior to participate in a two month paid Summer Internship Program working within our Internal Audit Department. As part of this internship, you will gain knowledge of internal audit operations by working closely with FHLB Dallas' Internal Audit staff. This role will perform professional auditing work of moderate difficulty and complexity and provide assistance to other professional auditors.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

• Develop an understanding of the FHLB Dallas audit approach, methodology and tools.
• Under the direction of department management, participate in audits of financial, compliance, operational, and Information Technology (IT) areas to determine if operating units are in compliance with Bank policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations and GAAP.
• Assist in performance of tests of internal controls related to internal audits and SOX testing.
• Prepares audit work papers which document audit procedures performed and results of testing, in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Assist in preparing written audit recommendations and audit reports that will be presented to the auditee.
• Establish working relationships with client personnel.
• Apply concepts of risk assessment.
