Broad Description of Duties :

The Bartender is responsible for providing superior service, interacting with guests, and providing the best possible guest experience while ensuring consistent drink quality. As a Bartender, you will prepare orders in a fast-paced environment while following recipes and guidelines established by the Food and Beverage department. You will provide superior guest service while maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment as a member of the Marcus Theatres Food and Beverage team.

This position reports to a member of the theatre management team or General Manager (reporting may vary by location).

Pay Estimate : $12.00 / hour

Essential Functions / Job Duties :

• Associates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation;
• Prepare beverages for our guests;
• Attend to guests and provide an excellent guest experience by interacting with guests, being attentive, taking orders and serving food and drinks;
• Follow company food safety policies, as well as those of local regulatory agencies;
• Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items;
• Assess guests' needs and preferences to make recommendations;
• Verify that guests who purchase alcohol are at least 21 years of age;
• Set up and maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar;
• Clean and sanitize all areas in the bar and lounge area for guests and associates;
• Monitor and communicate social distancing guidelines

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and / or hear, and / or use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time, and / or walk often. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Work is performed in a theatre / restaurant / bar environment. The noise level is usually moderate to high with an occasional loud environment. Wearing a face mask is required during scheduled working hours.
