ILUS Sr. Project Engineer II

Overview

Candidate w ill be responsible for engineering of material handling systems. Each system is custom designed per client based on the optimal solution. This requires a team effort of mechanical engineering electrical engineering industrial engineering controls software and project management. The team will develop and implement a design concept that satisfies the customers requirement for safety functionality reliability throughput and expense.

Responsibilities

• Designing / enhancing conveyor systems as well as various automated and semi-automated material handling systems; may lead on larger projects or an entire project program
• Review of product design for compliance with engineering principles company standards and customer requirements and specifications
• Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems
• Prepares / Reviews approval permit and installation drawings using AutoCAD
• Obtains material and product quotes from vendors and issues purchase orders
• Helps monitor the project schedule engineering time and material costs
• Works with other disciplines on the project team to make sure the engineered solution and all equipment fit within system confines and constraints
• Travels up to 20% to measure buildings inventory equipment commission systems and interface with customers
• Participates in continuous improvement projects
• Resolves engineering issues by working with customers vendors and other team members
