Be our next Lead Inspector for Bridge & Roadway projects based in New Orleans LA and will cover Louisiana project

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Document all activities on site during duration of the contract and prepare inspection reports.
• Oversee document review and assess contractors compliance with contractual requirements.
• Review construction documents and drawings in order to minimize issues and to reduce the potential for extra work orders during construction.
• Take accurate and detailed measurements of all work performed by the contractor to ensure accurate payments.
• Assist the Project Administrator with the review of contract submissions (critical path schedules RFIs etc)
• Assist the project Administrator with staff scheduling / coordination.
• Attend progress meeting and provide feedback on ongoing construction and issues.
• Supervision of Junior inspector.
• Inspection and testing of soils concrete steel and masonry materials for road and bridge projects. Experience with LADOTD construction and specifications desired.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Observing general job safety practices.
• Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control in accordance with contract documents.
• The ability to work as a team a plus.
• Possibility of weekend and evening work as dictated by contract.

What your experience looks like

Experience with Construction Engineering and Inspection encompassing the management of the construction phase of transportation projects including engineering and inspection services.
