Acting in the role of Owner's Agent, the Project Director is responsible for supervising project management and construction management teams in all project phases, including studies, programming and planning, preconstruction services, design, procurements, construction, and closeout. The Program Director is the team leader, and the individual responsible from initiation through completion of construction. The Program Director is responsible for staff mentoring, project management processes and methods, stakeholder communications, coordination, and conflict resolution to ensure project goals are consistently met.
The position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, presentation, organizational, and team building skills, as well as a working knowledge of project controls, quality assurance, risk management, budget management, time management, and strong client service skills. The Program Director must be a strategic communicator, an adaptable team player, with strong presentation, time management, and problem-solving skills, plus a solid understanding of the tasks and skills provided by the team members they supervise. Night meetings may be required.
