Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree in related field, Certification or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and Licensure or eligible for Speech Pathology License from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
Job Summary :
To provide professional skills in the comprehensive evaluation of patients with speech and language impairments, and to provide habilitative and rehabilitative treatment services.
Job Duties :
- Administers and interprets routine and complex tests on adults with speech and language and cognitively impaired patients
- Plans, conducts, and directs rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communication, voice, cognition and swallowing disorders
- Documents findings, rehabilitative techniques, plan of care and patient progress in electronic medical record
- Instructs and demonstrates testing procedures and treatments to medical students and residents
- Senior level staff may also supervises clinical work of support personnel, graduate students and clinical fellows
Preferred Qualifications :
Texas Speech Pathology License, Certificate of Clinical CompetenceEnglish - bilingual Spanish is helpful, but not requiredPrior experience in adult outpatient care and medically related clinic.Experience with adult neurogenic population and swallowing disordersSalary Range :
