Lumos & Associates is looking for a Materials Technician III to join our team. In this role, you'll independently perform a wide variety of construction materials testing, including soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt, with plenty of independence to solve challenges and expand your expertise, all while supporting projects that shape our communities. If you enjoy problem-solving, working outdoors, and tackling complex technical tasks, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This is a full-time position based out of our Carson City Lab.

What You'll Do :

• Perform complex testing, observations, and inspections in both field and lab settings.
• Communicate with project managers, contractors, clients, and technicians about testing results, requirements, and progress.
• Interpret specifications, read plans, and provide accurate documentation.
• Supervise less experienced staff and share your expertise.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate, reliable results.
• Prioritize multiple tasks and manage your time effectively.
