Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Newton Lower Falls, MA 02462 (Greater Boston area)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Labor & Delivery RN

Unit : 5 South - Labor & Delivery

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : January 31, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (3 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM), 3 shifts / week

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : Every other weekend, rotating holidays

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Massachusetts RN license required

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Ability to complete all facility onboarding requirements (orientation, medication exam, fit test, health screenings, background checks, references, skills checklist, education verification)

Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to mothers and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit

Monitor and assess patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals

Administer medications, IVs, and prescribed treatments

Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care best practices

Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety and clinical standards
