    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Rate : Fixed (Daily; OT after 10 hours; Weekly OT after 168 hours)
  • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Inpatient cardiothoracic surgical cases
  • Pre”‘operative and postoperative rounding
  • Emergent weekend surgical cases as needed

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active FL license required
  • Board : BC / BE in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • DEA : Active DEA Certification
  • Certifications : BLS / ACLS as applicable
  • Experience : Cardiothoracic surgery experience required
  • Other Qualifications : Ability to collaborate with APPs; telehealth not required

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform inpatient cardiothoracic surgical cases
  • Conduct pre”‘operative and postoperative rounding with APP support
  • Cosign APP”‘created progress notes and consult notes; add surgeon notes as needed
  • Provide weekend rounding (approximately one weekend per month)
  • Cover emergent weekend OR cases and respond to new consults
  • Participate in night call rotation (MonThu) as assigned
  • Respond to ER, CVICU, and PA”‘initiated calls when escalated
