For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to$10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 1-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!

• Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
• Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

R6 is a dynamic 24-bed neurosurgical / trauma unit with an embedded 9-bed neuro-focused Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). Bean 2 is a fast-paced 12-bed Total Joint Center. This position offers the R6 / B2 RN an opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a supportive environment as an integral member of a collaborative team of highly trained staff.

The R6 patient population includes adults and older adolescents with neurological and orthopedic conditions including closed head injuries, strokes, brain tumors, seizure disorders, multi-traumas, and conditions requiring neurosurgical intervention. RNs providing care in the R6 IMC demonstrate astute assessment and critical thinking skills, as patients in IMC often have multi-system issues that require telemetry monitoring, intra-cranial pressure monitoring, medication drips, frequent intervention, or other higher acuity care needs.

The Bean 2 patient population consists of adults who have undergone joint replacement surgeries. This unit serves as the Joint Center for our nationally recognized and Joint Commission accredited joint replacement program. The RN on Bean 2 coordinates important milestones of care for each patient's visit to facilitate a timely and safe discharge. This unit sees a high turnover of patients and consistently receives exceptional patient satisfaction scores.

R6 / IMC / B2 offers a challenging yet rewarding environment where teamwork, excellent communication, a positive attitude, and a proactive approach to provision of care is expected. As a teaching unit with frequent student rotations, this collaborative learning environment welcomes new graduate RNs and other learners excited to be part of this supportive team. The compassionate Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and CNAs on R6 / IMC / B2 work closely to support each other in meeting patients' needs and ensuring the highest standards of care are met.

This is a full time day shift opportunity consisting of 3, 12 hour shifts per week.
