Neurology Nurse Practitioner

Location : New Brunswick, NJ

Schedule : 7 days / week, 6 : 00 PM 7 : 30 AM

Weekends : Included in rotation

Duration : Ongoing locum assignment

Setting : Inpatient Level 1 Trauma

Position Highlights

Role : Advanced Practice Provider (NP / PA) providing overnight neurology coverage

Responsibilities include :

• Responding to stroke codes and performing NIHSS assessments
• Conducting full neurological evaluations for consults and primary cases
• Supporting patients per shift
• Collaborating with an on-site neurology resident
• Consulting with two attending neurologists available by phone
• Working within a Level 1 trauma center (no trauma experience required)

Requirements

Experience : Inpatient neurology or hospital-based APP experience preferred

Licensure / Certifications :
