We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will provide you with an opportunity to be a part of a team that is at the forefront of the Engineering industry, where you will have the chance to work on some of the most exciting projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of civil engineering and construction, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as excellent leadership and project management skills.

Responsibilities :

1. Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water and sewage systems.

2. Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and other) to plan and design projects.

3. Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.

4. Assess potential risks, materials, and costs.

5. Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems / deficiencies.

6. Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.

7. Handle over the resulting structures and services for use.

8. Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.

9. Manage budget and purchase equipment / materials.

10. Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

3. Proven expertise in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Engineering Design.

4. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

5. Proficient in design and visualization software such as AutoCAD.

6. Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Suite, Photoshop, 3D Studio, etc.

7. Project management and supervision skills.

8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

9. Sound mathematical, scientific, and IT skills.

10. Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage projects.

11. Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities.

12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

13. Negotiating, supervisory and leadership skills combined with the ability to delegate.
