Job description
Everstaff is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support high-volume, multi-entity accounts payable operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a structured, deadline-driven setting and enjoys working with multiple stakeholders.

Pay: $24–$27/hr, with flexibility for candidates whose experience closely aligns
Onsite position
Monday - Friday, 8-hour workdays (latest start time: 8:30 a.m.)

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately across multiple accounts or entities
  • Match invoices to supporting documentation to verify accuracy prior to payment
  • Enter bills, payments, and vendor credits into accounting systems, including desktop and cloud-based platforms
  • Communicate with vendors and internal contacts to research and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and process weekly payment cycles, including checks, ACH, and wire transactions
  • Reconcile vendor statements and maintain current accounts payable aging schedules
  • Ensure expenses are posted accurately to the appropriate accounts and projects
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and adjusting entries
  • Maintain organized digital records of vendor documentation and compliance materials
  • Support year-end processes such as information reporting and audit requests
  • Collaborate with accounting team members to ensure efficient and consistent AP operations
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounts payable experience
  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online)
  • Experience supporting multiple accounts or working in an outsourced or shared-services environment preferred
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet recurring deadlines
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with document management systems and cloud-based accounting tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team
  • General understanding of GAAP and internal controls related to accounts payable preferred
  • Experience with information reporting and audit support a plus
