Description :

Join a 24-bed specialized unit serving patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures.

The role involves caring for patients post-surgery, including CABG, valve replacement / repair, and heart / lung transplantation.

Nights with potential hours of 36 or 48 per week.

Every other weekend commitment is required, along with 2 out of 3 winter holidays.

Christmas leave cannot be approved on specific dates.

BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory for all candidates.

Candidates must adhere to floating policies as needed.

Epic experience is required for this position.

Preferred qualifications include previous charge nurse experience and trauma level I experience.

Clinical skills should include arterial line management, central line care, and care of ventilated patients.

Candidates should be familiar with interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.

Floating within the scope of practice is expected.

Additional equipment experience, such as CRRT and ECMO, is advantageous.

Team collaboration with interdisciplinary support is essential for patient care.

Candidates should be prepared for a diverse patient demographic, managing both adults and geriatric patients with complex diagnoses.

This position offers a comprehensive hands-on experience in a fast-paced clinical environment.
