Forklift Operator & Jockey Truck Operator
Job description
As a Forklift Operator / Jockey Truck Operator, you will be responsible for moving finished products through the distribution center.
Day to day, you can expect to load and unload trailers / move containers. Our environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety focused.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
Transport raw materials to production workstations
Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
Help maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment of the facility
Report defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the vehicles, and / or equipment
Maintain logs of trailer movements and fuel
Communicate with appropriate departments on daily movements of trailers
Other duties as assigned
Transports trailers to appropriate destinations in an accurate and timely manner
Must have Yard Jockey experience
Required Skills / Abilities :
High school diploma
Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
Excellent coordination
Valid certification to operate forklifts
Safe Work in a timely & safe manner
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Education and Experience :
Proven experience as forklift operator & jockey truck operator
Minimum 2 years experience
Job Type : Full-time
Salary : $17.00 - $24.00 per hour

8-hour shift (7 : 30am to 4 : 30pm Monday - Friday with potential for overtime hours and weekend hours)
