Project billing accountant

Hartford-county construction subcontractor is seeking a full-time Project Accountant / Administrator.

Successful candidate shall have a college degree and at least 2-3 years of experience with accounts

payable, accounts receivable, billings, job costing, project coordination, and subcontractor compliance for a

construction company. Experience with Sage 300CRE (Timberline) or similar software is strongly preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat or similar PDF assembly / markup

salary : $68,000 - $75,000 per year

shift : First

work hours : 8 AM - 4 PM

education : No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• AIA requisition billings for all ongoing projects, utilizing Sage software, Excel, and 3rd-party billing

programs such as Textura, GCPay, and Procore. Maintaining accurate spreadsheets for contracts / job lists

and ensuring change orders, allowances, and stored materials are billed appropriately each month.

monthly invoices in a paperless environment and cutting checks / making payments to vendors weekly.

Maintaining required insurance, lien waivers, subcontracts, and other compliance documentation from all

subcontractors and suppliers. Must be somewhat knowledgeable with sales tax rules for construction and

preparing tax-exempt certificates for vendors
