Licensed Practical Nurse- Urology Clinic (50%)

University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 50% Licensed Practical Nurse to work in our Urology Clinic

Duties to include :

• Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
• In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
• Performs patient care related to vital signs, lab draws, setting up and assisting with minor procedures, in-clinic treatments, point of care testing and other duties as assigned.
• Provides psychological support to the patient and family based on assessed needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Percent of Time : 50% (20 hours per week)

Salary : Merit Plan Plan

Schedule : Variable Days and times, Monday-Friday. No weekends and no holidays
