About The Position

Job Title : Interventional Radiology Technologist

Profession : Radiologic Technologist

Specialty : Interventional Radiology

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days

Hours per Shift : 5x8.0

Experience : Two (2) years experience required

License : Current Client License (or able to obtain prior to start)

Certifications : BLS from American Heart Association required

Must-Have : VIR Certified preferred

Description :

Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors and positioning.

Consistently produces radiologic images of diagnostic quality.

Works cooperatively with all members of the department to resolve problems expediently.

Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness, and accountability when dealing with customers.

Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity for patient rights in all interfaces with patients.

Instructs and prepares patients for examinations and assists the Radiologist during procedures.

Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operation of all equipment.

Reports malfunctions to the manager or lead.

Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner.

Uses time between procedures to assist others or support room turnover.

Maintains medication security to authorized personnel only.

Demonstrates competency in providing healthcare services to all age groups.

Exhibits competency in interpersonal relationships with all age groups.

Demonstrates competency in the use of Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS.

Participates in performance improvement activities when warranted.

Maintains confidentiality using personal passwords and all patient care modules.

Answers telephone inquiries of a technical nature from physicians or hospital personnel while maintaining good phone etiquette.
