Telemetry Patient Care Assistant II

We are seeking a Telemetry Patient Care Assistant II, sometimes referred to as a Telemetry Nurse Aide, Patient Care Partner (PCP) or a Telemetry PCA. Our Telemetry Patient Care Assistant (Telemetry PCA) will work in our hospital's telemetry unit, providing general patient care while also supporting continuous heart and vital sign monitoring for cardiac patients.

Shifts Available : Nights

Employment Type : Full Time

Hours : 12-hour shifts

Location : Harlingen Medical Center - Harlingen, Texas

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to) :

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have :

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

2. Current Certification in Patient Care required (M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.)

3. Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current.

4. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current

5. Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred.

6. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.

7. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.

8. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

9. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
