Coverage Type : Clinical + Call

Clinical Shift Schedule : Mon Fri, 7 : 30 AM 4 : 00 PM
On-Call Shift Schedule : Weeknights 4 : 00 PM 10 : 00 PM; Weekends 8 : 00 AM 8 : 00 PM or 24-hour call
Call Type : Telephone

September 1, 2025 December 31, 2025

3 weeks / month coverage (1 locum for 2 weeks / month; another for 1 week / month)

Patient Demographics : Adults only

Patient Volume / Census : Average 4 consults / day; average 1 inpatient

Admissions : 0 average while on call

Rounding : End-of-day hospital consults (as needed)

Phone Consults : Yes

Case Mix : Secondary neoplasms, lung, breast, male genital system, head and neck

Image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT)

HDR (High Dose Rate Brachytherapy)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Pennsylvania license (can apply if not currently held)

Board : Board Certified in Radiation Oncology (Board Eligible not accepted)

DEA : Active DEA Certification required

Certifications : BLS

Experience : Minimum 5 years in specialty

Other Qualifications : Ability to work solo

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage consults and ongoing radiation oncology cases independently

Handle weekday and weekend call responsibilities

Coordinate patient care for cancer and radiation-related needs

Provide symptom and side effect management

Engage with interdisciplinary support services including nutrition and psychosocial counseling
