Student Research Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Under the direction of an assigned Principal Investigator / Faculty, the research assistant will provide General Research Support under an assigned research project. Please note : These positions are grant-funded, time-limited position.

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES (may include but not limited to) :

• Provide research lab support, classify materials, arrange for equipment use, etc.
• Work with other research staff on projects.
• Prepare samples and materials for testing.
• Participate research meetings and collaborations.
• Research relevant literature.
• Reporting results as necessary.
• Assist with other work as necessary.
• Perform research and in a timely manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND / OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF LAW :

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE : Varies and will be determined based on course schedule and research needs.

EXPECTED STARTING SALARY $13.25 hourly.

This position requires a background check, which may include a level II screening as required by the Florida Statute §435.04.
