Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from AVMA accredited University

Active California Veterinary License in good standing

Willingness to become Cat Friendly, Fear Free Certified

Preferred : 1 or more years clinical experience

Ability to do OVHs, neuters, mass removals and other common procedures

Cat Tales is the only Fear Free, Cat Friendly feline health center in Davis, CA. Opened in Dec 2024, Cat Tales is independently owned by two seasoned veterinarians Julie Cole Shacoski and Chris Shac Shacoski. The practice is unique in how it provides more than just clinical care for cats : Cat Tales' goal is to help ALL cats flourish. We have leisurely appointments to allow time to build a relationship with each cat and the people they own. This allows us time for listening, for full examinations, and for discussion of personalized care plans that address health care needs and the lifestyle options to enable each unique cat to be healthy, calm, comfortable and at peace. Cat Tales also has a cat lounge (Tabby Tea Cat Lounge) where all are welcome to visit with feline adoptees and enjoy a purrfect break. We work with our local shelter to support and encourage feline fans to find their next family member. We have helped 60 cats find new homes in the past year! We also offer grooming and medical boarding for existing clients.
