Raytheon is seeking a motivated 1st shift Principal Electrical Engineer to fill key Maintenance, Repair and Engineering support role within the Metrology & Test Equipment Maintenance (MTEM) Department, located in Andover MA. This position will support production maintenance needs, as well as support the dimensional metrology laboratory.

Candidate must be able to effectively operate in a high tempo operations environment and capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing complex activities, often with actions requiring coordination across multiple support areas.

What You Will Do

The candidate shall work with minimal supervision while maintaining test equipment on the manufacturing floor.

Troubleshoot difficult and often complex test station and fixture failures on various test platforms using best practices and procedures.

Coach, review and delegate lower-level professional peers and technicians regarding troubleshooting best practices and techniques.

Design of significant improvements of systems and test equipment to enhance performance of work area and improve production up time.

Interpret schematic drawings in aiding with troubleshoot of test stations and equipment.

Document troubleshoot and resolution steps to maintain troubleshoot guide for future use.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience.

3+ years of test station / fixture design or troubleshoot experience

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Advanced to expert knowledge of RF, Digital or High Power test systems, as well as physical and mechanical aspects of interfacing applications.

Experience developing, editing, and improving preventative maintenance, and calibration procedures, using intuitive techniques and methodologies

Able to balance multiple assignments simultaneously

Experience with Six Sigma and LEAN 6S principles, or similar continuous improvement methodologies

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
