JOB SUMMARY :
Business Operational Concepts (BOC) is currently seeking a seeking a Senior Azure Administrator to work with our federal client. The ideal candidate will provide operational support for the client's Microsoft Azure environment. This includes provisioning, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services in support of the Agency's mission and IT goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Azure Administrator shall oversee the operational management of Azure services, ensuring high availability, reliability and performance. The Contractor shall manage system health, access controls, resource utilization, and compliance to ensure secure and efficient cloud operations. The Contractor shall implement technical configurations in alignment with Peace Corps' policies, cybersecurity requirements, and federal standards.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Required (Minimum) Qualifications - Education, Certification, Experience, and Skills
- Provide daily administration of enterprise collaboration systems, user support, platform optimization, and cross-platform integration to enhance mission delivery.
- Monitor and maintain cloud resources including computing, storage, identity, and networking services.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Manage user and device identities, access policies, and group permissions within the Agency's cloud identity management system.
- Manage Azure Policy, RBAC, management groups, tagging, and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform) with Git-based workflows.
- Track and optimize cloud performance, availability, and cost through routine analysis and reporting.
- Experience implementing and documenting controls aligned to NIST SP 800-53 and FedRAMP; supporting ATO processes; applying CIS Benchmarks / STIGs where applicable; TIC 3.0 and Zero Trust-aligned configurations; OMB M-21-31 logging where relevant.
- Support automation of routine cloud operations and assist in environment configuration activities.
- Collaborate with architecture, security and infrastructure teams to assess cloud infrastructure requirements and provide guidance on the best solutions to meet strategic objectives.
- Support migrations from on-premises environments to the cloud.
- Support and guide operational administrators through best practices and strategic implementation.
- Provide technical expertise in developing and deploying cloud-based solutions.
- Proficient in scripting languages, such as Python and PowerShell.
- Provide advanced support and technical escalation point for infrastructure related issues & incidents.
- Document system configurations, standard operating procedures, and change management activities.
- Consistently share best practices with team members and help create knowledge base articles and documentation to solve / workaround issues.
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and future innovation.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft 365 products, including but not limited to Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Entra ID, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Power Automate.
- Experience implementing and documenting controls aligned to NIST SP 800-53 and FedRAMP; supporting ATO processes; applying CIS Benchmarks / STIGs where applicable; TIC 3.0 and Zero Trust-aligned configurations; OMB M-21-31 logging where relevant.
- 5+ Years' experience supporting enterprise cloud environments, including 3+ Years with Microsoft Azure
- 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure design
- 3+ Years' experience managing identity, access, and policy enforcement in cloud environments
- 3+ Years' experience with monitoring, backup, and operational maintenance of cloud resources
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud operations, cloud migrations and implementing technical configuration baselines
- Experience with federal guidelines, requirements & controls (NIST 800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP, TIC 3.0, Zero Trust).
- Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
