About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Senior Platform Infrastructure Engineer who will take charge of our EKS infrastructure and serve as a technical leader for our cloud platform initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will standardize our multi-cluster application deployments, mentor engineering teams, and help define the future of our infrastructure at Dutchie.
What You'll Do...
- Take ownership of our EKS infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and scalability across multiple clusters.
- Drive the standardization of multi-cluster application deployment patterns and best practices.
- Be a subject matter expert for cloud infrastructure, offering technical leadership and guidance across engineering teams.
- Educate and mentor engineers on Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud-native technologies.
- Design and implement infrastructure solutions that prioritize performance, cost efficiency, and security.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development teams to enhance application deployment and operations.
- Create and maintain infrastructure as code using modern tools to ensure reproducible and version-controlled infrastructure.
- Implement security best practices throughout our cloud environment, including network policies, IAM configurations, and compliance measures.
What You Bring...
Demonstrated expertise in Kubernetes with hands-on experience managing production EKS clusters at scale.Strong knowledge of AWS, particularly in EKS, IAM, VPCs, security groups, and AWS networking concepts.Solid foundations in Linux, including systems administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.Proficiency in containerization with Docker and familiarity with container orchestration patterns.Experience with Infrastructure as Code using tools like Pulumi or Terraform.Programming skills in Python or Go, capable of writing production-quality automation and tooling.A security-oriented mindset with practical experience implementing cloud security best practices.A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.At least 5 years of experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and compute platforms.It's a Bonus if You...
Have experience with service mesh technologies such as Linkerd or Istio.Understand GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux).Have exposure to Cloudflare, particularly Cloudflare Workers.Are skilled in observability and monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.Have contributed to open-source cloud-native projects.Possess experience in optimizing costs in cloud environments.You’ll Get
