Job Details :

• Work night shifts with 3x12 or 4x12 schedule options
• Patient ratio of 1 : 6
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week preferred
• Must have Medical Surgical Orthopedic and Medical Surgical Neuro experience
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Weekend requirements discussed during interview
• On-call rotation required
• Required certifications : BLS, NIHSS (at time of submission)
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must work weeks of holidays, multiple holiday RTO not accepted
• Valid Kentucky or compact license required
• Float to unit rotation if needed
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including total joint replacements, fractures, cervical fusion postop, lumbar procedures, amputations, gastric surgery postop, TIA / CVA
• Work with specialized equipment including bariatric lifts, Buck's traction, CPM machines, and chest tube management
• Skills include blood product administration, central line care, chest tubes, CPAP / BiPAP, heparin protocols, insulin management, PCA pumps, PICC line management, wound care, and telemetry monitoring
• 24-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
