AI Research Lead

A company is looking for an AI Research Lead - Pre-training to own and scale pre-training efforts in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

Lead strategy and execution of pre-training activities, including dataset building and experiments

Build LLM and multimodal foundation models and design evaluation pipelines

Collaborate with teams to translate pre-training ideas into production-ready methods

Required Qualifications

PhD, MS, or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience managing or leading research and engineering teams

Hands-on experience with SOTA end-to-end pre-training projects

Proficiency in modern deep learning and pre-training frameworks

Experience building LLM and multimodal models on multi-node GPUs
