Responsibilities

The role would primarily focus on meeting the needs in the outpatient setting with a strong referral base, large employer-health clinic and very little GI competition. Inpatient load would be minimized by highly-skilled and engaged 24 / 7 hospitalists who manage all the admissions and discharges. Call burden would be capped to no more than 1 : 6 and inpatient consults tailored to the outpatient schedule.

Notes and Qualifications :

We are open to recent graduates as well as veteran physicians

Candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified

Fellowship training required in Gastroenterology

Ascension St. Vincent Anderson and Kokomo hospitals are both certified Primary Stroke and Chest Pain Centers and Ascension St. Vincent Anderson is a Level III Trauma Center. Responsibilities :

Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.

Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinatedischarge planning with case management.

Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration :

Physician MD / DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education :

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
