Description :

This position is for a Long Term Care RN.

The facility has 26 beds for residents.

The nurse will act as charge, pass medications, and perform wound care.

Common diagnoses include heart disease, diabetes, and dementia.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 10 during the day and 1 : 19 at night.

There is no clinical involvement in this role.

There are no IVs or titratable drips required.

There are no telemetry monitors on the unit.

RNs are not required to attend team conferences.

Physician availability after hours is by phone on-call.

The interdisciplinary team does not include rehab beds, only Long Term Care.

Physical therapy is available as needed, along with a social worker designee.

There is no respiratory therapy on-site 24 / 7.

Oxygen therapy and equipment include concentrators and portable concentrators.

The pharmacy is off-site.

Shifts are scheduled as 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM with no blocked schedule and no self-scheduling.

Weekend work is required every other week, along with every other major holiday.

There are no call or standby requirements.

Floating is not required.

Dress code is professional, and scrubs must be clean and presentable.

The unit / department specific orientation consists of 2-3 shifts.

There is a 50-mile radius rule for candidates.

Requests for time off must be submitted upfront, and additional time off will not be approved after submissions.

The facility can cancel up to 4 shifts during the assignment.

Charting is done using the Matrix system.

A BSN is not required for this position.
