About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Data Science / Machine Learning Lead with a focus on capital markets and fixed income. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of driving innovation and business transformation, particularly in the financial services sector. This role is pivotal in leveraging data and AI to deliver real-time intelligence and interactive business applications, with a strong emphasis on responsible and ethical practices. The VP will be responsible for architecting and deploying cutting-edge ML systems that power core business functions, from trading desks to risk analytics. Collaboration with management to advance data and analytics transformation, as well as with cross-functional teams to embed ML-driven decision-making, is a key aspect of the position.

Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years' experience in building and deploying machine learning systems, preferably in investment banking, fixed income trading, or hedge funds. The role requires a proven track record in leading ML projects, deep expertise in various ML techniques, and proficiency in modern ML and data stack tools. A strong foundation in fixed income analytics, derivatives pricing, and risk management is essential. The ideal candidate will also have a Master's or PhD in a relevant discipline, with a preference for those holding CFA or FRM certification. The VP will be expected to mentor and lead a team, ensuring technical excellence and a culture of innovation, and must be committed to responsible AI, including model fairness and compliance with regulatory standards.
