The hospital is a major academic and referral center with advanced capabilities and clinical expertise, earning it Magnet designation four consecutive times and housing Michigan's first Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence.
The role involves providing care to patients according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include safe transport of patients, dispatch services, documentation of services, and acting as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation. Additionally, general receptionist and clerical duties are part of the role to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit, with documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred, American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required, and current CNA certification preferred.
