Uni Boston is s eeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Assistant General Manager with Japanese restaurant experience, strong administrative skills, and a background in high-volume operations.

James Beard Award-winning Chef Ken Oringer and Executive Chef David Bazirgan are seeking a driven and experienced Assistant General Manager to join the leadership team at Uni , a celebrated contemporary Japanese restaurant located inside The Eliot Hotel in Boston’s Back Bay.

Uni is known for its innovative sashimi, creative small plates, tasting menu experiences, and a high-energy atmosphere that blends refined dining with genuine hospitality. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and values teamwork, consistency, and care for both guests and staff.

About the Role

The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager and Chef team to ensure smooth daily operations, uphold service standards, and foster a positive team culture. The ideal candidate is organized, curious, empathetic, and passionate about creating memorable guest experiences. You lead with warmth and professionalism, bring structure and calm to busy services, and help guide and mentor the front-of-house team.

Ideal candidates have prior managerial experience, background in Japanese cuisine or restaurants, experience working in high-volume environments, and strong administrative skills.

Salary Range : $75,000–$80,000
