Audit Interns perform risk-based assurance and advisory engagements in the field of business operations / functions, finance, governance, risk management, compliance and / or information technology. This opportunity may lead to selection into a two-year development rotational program following graduation. Rotational placings may vary depending on business needs. The internship is based at USAA Corporate Headquarters in San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX or our location in Charlotte, NC. Interns offered full-time roles may have the opportunity to work out of one of USAA's satellite locations.

What You'll Do :

• Complete assigned audit test steps timely and expertly with mentorship and support from the Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) / senior auditors in support of the annual audit plan and / or audit priorities.
• Performs basic audit documentation techniques, accountable for own work paper documentation within quality standards, timely and accurately.
• Develops an understanding of how to capture and analyze data to perform tasks assigned by AIC.
• Attends and participates in team audit activities such as planning and prioritizing, business understanding / walkthroughs, review of risk assessment and testing for assigned areas of responsibility and demonstrates critical thinking ability and begins early-stage development of expertise (i.e., technology, CoSA, business line products, broadening business acumen).
• Assists in updating the engagement level risk & control matrix with mentorship and support from AIC.

Compensation range : The salary range for this position is : $23 - $34. Interns will receive an intern stipend to assist with expenses. USAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role. USAA views its internship program as a pipeline to possible future employment. This is based on an individual's graduation date, performance, role qualifications, and business need.
