Job description

Growth Marketing Technical Lead

Sinclair Digital is seeking a highly motivated Growth Marketing Technical Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of email marketing and our newsletter programs across all Sinclair's properties, including 80+ broadcast news stations, Tennis Channel, Comet and more. This role combines operational leadership with data-driven strategy to optimize newsletter performance, engagement, and revenue. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of the newsletter ecosystem, deep data analysis capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across departments. This role is central to growing both direct-sold and programmatic advertising revenue, and to helping shape the company's evolving data architecture, including AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, maintain and improve end-to-end email and newsletter marketing operations, including scalable newsletter templates aligned with brand and product goals, across the organization.
  • Analyze performance metrics to assess newsletter engagement and drive advertising revenue growth.
  • Based on data cultivated, make adjustments in Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud as required for desired content distribution and enhance ad monetization.
  • Regularly report on newsletter KPIs and revenue trends using Tableau and other platforms.
  • Own campaign operations and marketing workflows, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business goals.
  • Define and implement governance standards across newsletter and product operations.
  • Create and manage integrated marketing campaigns that drive user engagement and monetization utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Leverage company approved AI tools to enhance workflow and campaign results.
  • Track and report progress on operational OKRs and department-wide analytics.
  • Coordinate increment planning activities, ensuring proper resourcing from engineering teams.
  • Champion operational excellence through continuous process improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional communication, including department-wide updates and stakeholder briefings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in newsletter operations, marketing automation, or data analysis.
  • Proficiency in HTML and AMP script for email templating.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud; ability to build journeys, build segments, manage campaigns, build reports, and analyze performance.
  • Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proven project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Growth mindset with a focus on system efficiency and scalability.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification is strongly preferred.
  • The base salary compensation range for this role is $81,000 to $95,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans ,flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
