HVAC / R Instructor-Lab Assistant

• Erie Institute of Technology has been named a School of Distinction by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and is proud to employ qualified and experienced instructors to educate and train our students. This position provides coverage for IT Specialist courses to which you may be assigned in any given term and / or you may be asked to serve as a substitute instructor in the absence of a colleague. Regular scheduled courses are assigned based on institutional needs. EIT offers classes Monday through Thursday from 8 : 00am to 6 : 30pm, with new terms starting quarterly.
• General :
• Part-time, substitute, and lab instructors play a valuable role in maintaining the standards and continuity of instruction for our students by following lesson plans and engaging student with activities and assessments outline in lesson plans and the course syllabi.
• Duties and Responsibilities
• Follow and deliver course of study suitable to curriculum guidelines of ACCSC and PA Department of Educations requirements.
• Delivers assignments, activities, labs, tests, and homework for students to perform.
• Conducts standardized tests in accordance with EIT policies.
• Maintains order in classroom and administers discipline when necessary to achieve proper behavior.
• Counsels and assist students when academic difficulties.
• Keeps records of academic performance, and attendance.
• Communicates class progress and performance in the absence of the regularly assigned instructor
• Participates in faculty meetings, educational conferences, professional training seminars, and workshops.
• Additional duties as assigned.
