What does this role look like?

  • Requests for Proposal (RFP) or revisions to contracts. Provide strategy, risk assessments, and offers alternative approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language; evaluates and coordinates proposals; investigates and reconciles significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc.
  • Contract negotiation, coordination, management, and closeout.
  • Working in conjunction with associated functional organizations and customers to ensure conformance with contractual obligations, to remain cognizant of problem areas, and to implement the required corrective actions.
  • Developing and applying advanced concepts, techniques, and standards to assigned activities.
  • Developing and applying solutions to complex problems which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
  • Evaluates contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations. Maintains communications to ensure timely contract execution by the parties.
  • Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Active SCI clearance is preferred.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience / combined education
  • Strong strategic thinker, with the proven ability to collaborate with leaders cross-functionally, and creative contracting experiences in contract management
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure
  • Current and active TS clearance
  • Desired Skills

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience / combined education, with 5+ years of professional experience; or 3+ years of professional experience with a Masters degree.
  • Knowledge of and experience with acquisition regulations (FAR, DFAR)
  • Knowledge of and experience with grants
  • Strong strategic thinker, with the proven ability to collaborate with leaders cross-functionally, and creative contracting experiences in contract management
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure
  • Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
  • Ability to analyze contract terms and risks to mitigate financial impacts
  • Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership, and suppliers
  • Bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to pivot as business demographics update
  • Current TS / SCI clearance
  • Security Clearance Statement

    This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level : TS / SCI.

  • Ability to Work Remotely : Onsite Full-time : The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
  • Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
  • Schedule for this Position : 9x80 every other Friday off
  • Pay Rate

    The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

    This position is incentive plan eligible.
