Position Overview : The Vice President of Finance will play a critical role in the financial leadership of our manufacturing business. This executive position is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring the company's financial health, and driving strategic financial planning to support growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Strategy and Planning : Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Lead long-term financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Financial Reporting : Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Develop and maintain robust financial reporting systems and processes.
- Risk Management : Identify and manage financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Capital Management : Optimize capital allocation to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Cost Control : Implement cost control measures and drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce expenses. Develop and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure cost-effective operations. Collaborate with department heads to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation.
- Investment Analysis : Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations to the executive team. Conduct financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Leadership and Team Development : Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to achieve their goals.
- Stakeholder Communication : Communicate financial performance and strategy to internal and external stakeholders, including the executive team and the board of directors.
- Compliance and Governance : Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications :
Education : MBA or CPA strongly preferred.Experience : Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing environment.Skills : Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in financial software and tools.
