Willis-Knighton Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant at the Bossier campus. The Medical Assistant will provide nursing care to patients in the physician office under the supervision of the Clinic Physician.
- The supervising physician delineates the privileges and duties through skill assessment. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following : assessing the health status of patients and collaborate with the nursing staff and physician to establish care procedures;
- contributing to the planning of appropriate nursing interventions; administering treatments in accordance with department policies and procedures;
- administering medications to patients under the direct supervision and allocation of the respective clinic physician / provider;
- documenting patient assessment with objective and subjective symptoms utilizing appropriate clinical method and records;
and providing educational needs and assist in scheduling referral appointments and procedures as needed. The applicant considered for this position must be a high school graduate and must be a graduate of an approved medical assistant program or have verification of documented experience in a medical office setting in patient care.
