About The Position

JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title : Medical Oncologist
Job Type : Permanent (Full-Time)
Location : Mountain Home, AR
Service Setting : Inpatient and Outpatient Cancer Center
Clinical Shift Schedule : Weekday clinic and hospital responsibilities
On-Call Shift Schedule : 1 : 4 call rotation
Call Ratio : 1 : 4
Call Response Time : As required for inpatient oncology needs

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics : Adults with cancer diagnoses

Patient Volume / Census : To be determined; shared with 1 physician and 1 APP

Case Mix : General medical oncology and hematology

FACILITY INFORMATION

On-Site Services : - Laboratory - Imaging (CT, PET, X-Ray, Ultrasound) - On-site Pharmacy - Infusion Services - Radiation Oncology

Support Staff Available : 1 Physician and 1 Advanced Practice Provider

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required : Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary : Competitive base salary plus production bonus

Diagnosis and management of cancer and hematologic disorders

Administration of chemotherapy and other systemic therapies

Coordination with infusion and radiation oncology teams

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Arkansas medical license (or eligibility to obtain)

Certifications : Board Certified / Board Eligible in Medical Oncology

Experience : Preferred but open to new graduates

Other Qualifications : - Excellent multidisciplinary collaboration skills - Commitment to compassionate and evidence-based cancer care

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide outpatient and inpatient oncology services

Collaborate with infusion, radiation, pharmacy, and imaging teams

Participate in call rotation (1 : 4)

Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives in cancer care

Contribute to program growth and community outreach at Baxter Health
