Warehouse Associate/General Labor

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Wraps and straps shipping loads in the warehouse. Uses pallet jack to move pallet from staging lane to wrapper.

Wraps pallets using electronic wrappers or manual wrappers as needed for the task. Restack shipping load as needed to ensure stability and no cartons are hanging over pallet.

Key Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand safety initiatives as outlined by the Distribution Center policies
• Must be able to perform the duties of stacking, loading, labeling, wrapping pallets
• Repalletizes product as needed
• Use RF Smart scan gun to scan pick slip, pallet labels, product labels to audit each order and ensure all items have been accurately picked to the order.
• Use RF Smart scan gun to process shipping confirmation using pick slips, audit sheets, and routing information unique to each order.
• Place corner boards and band pallets when required
• Use either FedEx or UPS shipping stations to process shipping confirmation using pick slips, audit sheets, and routing information unique to each order.
• Ensure each label and packing list is attached to the appropriate box
• Performs regular housekeeping duties as assigned throughout the warehouse
• Understands individual and department targets and meets those expectations
• Follows standard operating procedures for all activities performed
• Keeps area and equipment safe, clean, and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
• Work overtime as required including weekend work

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)

Experience

• 3+ months warehouse experience
• Familiar with pallet jacks
• Handheld strapping & electronic wrapper knowledge a plus but not required
