Salary : $120,000 – $155,000 (based on experience and qualifications)

Relocation Assistance : Available based on distance

Hours / Shift : Monday – Friday, with 24 / 7 departmental responsibility

Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced RN Director to provide leadership and oversight for med-surg and telemetry nursing services. This director-level role will assist senior executive leadership in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice across multiple units. The RN Director ensures high-quality, safe, and effective nursing care, staff competency, and efficient resource management.

This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to manage a multi-unit department with 24 / 7 accountability

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to senior nursing executives and other designated patient care functions.
• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing practice across multiple units.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical competency for staff.
• Manage departmental resources effectively, including staffing and operational needs.
• Serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
• Collaborate with other departments and hospital leadership to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain active and current RN license in Tennessee (relocation candidates must obtain licensure).
• Maintain BLS certification upon hire and ACLS certification within 3 months
• Assume accountability for the director's assigned areas 24 / 7, ensuring quality and compliance.
