Job Description

One of the best-known names in cruising, Princess is the worlds leading international premium cruise line and tour company, carrying millions of guests each year to hundreds of destinations around the globe. We are looking for an amazing Senior Manager, Entertainment Operations and Programming to fill this role, which is based in our Fort Lauderdale office. The Senior Manager, Entertainment Operations and Programming is responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and management of entertainment programs across the fleet. This role involves leading a team of entertainment professionals, ensuring high-quality performances, and maintaining operational excellence. The Senior Manager will work closely with various departments, including Fleet Operations, Human Resources, and Finance, to achieve the main objectives of delivering exceptional guest experiences and optimizing entertainment resources. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in entertainment management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the cruise industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entertainment team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement talent development programs to enhance team skills and career growth.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging creativity and innovation.
  • Coordinate with fleet operations to ensure seamless integration of entertainment programs across all ships.
  • Collaborate with shipboard teams to address operational challenges and optimize performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate fleet-wide entertainment activities to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Develop and manage the entertainment budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitor expenditures and financial performance, adjusting as necessary to stay within budget.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of entertainment offerings.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and improve entertainment offerings.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management, shipboard teams, and external partners.
  • Represent the entertainment department in meetings and presentations, advocating for resources and support.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to innovate entertainment programs.
  • Conduct research and pilot new entertainment concepts to enhance guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop unique and engaging entertainment offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Entertainment Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven leader with the ability to mentor large and diverse teams
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with tools like Tableau and Clarabridge preferred
  • Budget management, vendor coordination, and scheduling expertise
  • 10+ years in entertainment or hospitality leadership, with cruise or theme park experience preferred
  • 5+ years in senior-level shipboard or shoreside entertainment management
  • Prior experience with new builds, dry docks, or project-based entertainment execution strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across departments
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative thinker with a strong understanding of guest engagement and brand delivery.
  • Beginning in 2028, this position will remain on the same TuesdayThursday in-office schedule but will transition to our new headquarters in the Miami, FL area.
