About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 1.5 years

License : Active RN license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

• EPIC experience
• Experience with stable chronic ventilators
• Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment
• IV start preferred

Description :

Targeted patient ratios are 1 : 4, but they can be up to 1 : 5-6.

For 48-hour contract positions, overtime is paid out after 48 hours.

The candidate must float at the discretion of management.

Assignments may require floating to other units or campuses as needed.

Availability to work every other weekend and holiday is required.

Candidates must adhere to cancellation policies due to low census.

All requests for time off must be included with the initial application and will be subject to manager approval.

Lab work and an EKG / dysrhythmia exam must be completed within a specified timeframe following contract signing.

No requests for time off will be accepted after the offer.

Experience in traveling and charge nurse roles is preferred.

Skills required include but are not limited to the following :

Daily census consists of adult patients, with a varied diagnosis including respiratory conditions, COVID-19, and general intermediate care.

The unit has an interdisciplinary support team, which includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.

Travelers should expect an average of 12 weekend shifts over a 13-week contract.

No more than 14 days of time off are allowed, even if willing to extend the contract.

All applicants must comply with the stated health and vaccine requirements before the start of the contract.
