Under the direction of the Associate Director of Network Engineering and Operations, the Network Engineering Manager provides leadership, technical oversight, planning, and coordination of data and voice projects.

The Manager will be involved in researching and providing strategic direction on using new technology and products. The incumbent will develop and maintain a hardware lifecycle replacement strategy with the Associate Director.

The Manager will provide mentoring, professional development, and career advancement opportunities to direct reports and ensure that direct reports are contributing and performing effectively.

Finally, the incumbent will oversee the architecture of next-generation network design.Please Note : This position is classified as HYBRID.

The on-site / off-site schedule will be determined in collaboration with the supervisor and based on the operational needs of Information Technology Solutions.

The full salary range for the Network Engineering Manager is $96,695.28 to $184,098.96 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is UP TO $141,750 annually.

UCR bases salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, UCR is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
