Position Summary / Purpose of Position : The IT Network Engineer will have a deep understanding of information structuring, data management, and knowledge dissemination techniques.

This role involves designing and implementing frameworks that facilitate efficient knowledge flow within the organization, ensuring that critical information is accessible and usable for decision-making and operational efficiency.

The IT Network Engineer will be closely collaborating with the ARLIS (Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security) Lab at the University of Maryland.

ARLIS is renowned for its pioneering work in intelligence and security research, blending academic rigor with practical applications in the field.

The lab focuses on a range of topics from human language technology and multimodal analytics to cybersecurity and information integrity.

Their involvement with ARLIS will provide a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research and apply it within our organizational context.

The IT Network Engineer is responsible for translating academic insights from ARLIS into practical knowledge management solutions, ensuring that our strategies are grounded in the latest scientific findings and methodologies.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Experience :

Proven experience in knowledge management, data architecture, or a related role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, especially in relation to data storage and knowledge sharing.
  • Experience with content management systems, database design, and metadata structures.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) and scripting for automation of data processes.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Able to obtain a TS / SCI clearance.

Preferences : Preferences :

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Prior experience working in a PMO environment.
  • Have an Active TS / SCI clearance.
