Description

The Data Analyst primarily functions as a data specialist providing support to clients and internal staff in the tracking and organization of various data files.

The Data Analyst also generates EDI and alternate data files and manages the ongoing maintenance of data in relation to our client’s employees and their insurance policies.

This individual also provides implementation assistance, data entry and EDI testing on new clients being added into the enrollment and billing system or with changes needed to existing clients.

This position requires skills in multiple aspects of data work including entry, analysis, research, and data management.

The Data Analyst will perform various tasks including creating reports and integrations within the systems, performing quality analysis evaluations and audits on data and system functionality periodically to ensure the accuracy of the database and reports as well as analyzing data from internal and external sources.

This position is salary based and full-time and compensation is dependent upon experience.

Responsibilities :

Maintain accurate file processing schedule and meet multiple deadlines.

Process file imports and exports.

Process Error and Results reports received after file postings.

Setup new integrations and reports.

Process data entry corrections as needed.

Analyze file setup configurations and account structures.

Analyze data for accuracy.

Database crosschecks

Compare data against policy and proposal to identify discrepancies.

Assistance with testing new and existing clients reporting after setup or as changes occur

Work after hours when needed in order to meet client and / or carrier deadlines

Requirements :

Advanced Excel knowledge is a necessity.

Data reconciliation skills.

Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking skills, with an ability to critically examine processes to make improvements in efficiency and quality of service.

Willingness and aptitude to keep up with emerging technologies.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Superior analytical reasoning, along with oral communication and phone skills.

An ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.

Flexibility and adaptability; energetic and self-driven.

Experience in working with Benefit Enrollment / Benefit Administration Systems is a plus.

Requires Associates Degree or two or more years of relevant experience
