CNC Machinist - MILLS OR LATHE - 2ND SHIFT

JSG is looking for a CNC Machinist - MILL OR LATHE to work at one of our premier Aerospace Clients in Simi Valley, CA.

Pay rate : $25+

Position Summary :

The candidate will be required to set-up, operate, and adjust CNC machines, Lathes and / or Mills. Work from drawings and written instructions to create parts.

May need to make offsets to programs on CNC Machines.

Job Responsibilities :

• Responsible for all phases of part operations, maintains part conformance per sketch and drawing requirements.
• Perform and maintain accurate in-process quality inspection and records.
• Identify and recommend process improvements that reduce part quality variation.
• Input data into visual management forms and convey results to management.
• Continuously improve processes, procedures, and eliminate waste.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience operating CNC Lathes and / or Mills
• Skilled in the use of indicator, gage, dial bores, and plate inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of precision machined parts.
• Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0003 ), hold .0003 profile, roundness.
• Ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma
• Per ITAR requirements, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder)
