Material Handler

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving raw materials and fulfilling material needs for front-end production in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring a consistent flow of raw materials to and from each production work area.

Responsibilities :

• Operate forklifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Maintain the flow of raw materials to and from production areas.
• Ensure all machine operators have the correct raw materials loaded in cages.
• Maximize production outputs by managing raw material replenishment.
• Unload, inspect, mark, tag, record, and verify all inbound raw material shipments.
• Handle 2,000 lb. coils with critical care and safety.
• Perform FIFO material rotation in raw material staging and record scrap at the end of each shift from each machine.
• Adhere to and maintain compliance with established systems, policies, and procedures.
• Comply with all safety and housekeeping expectations and 5S standards.
• Keep supervisors informed of progress, issues, and outages.

Work Environment :

The role is set in a large production environment, working closely with production team members to coordinate orders from sales teams. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 6am to 2 : 30pm.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
